Our robots

One robot per season, designed, built and programmed by students.

Decode, 2025-26

Silence (Decode)

Our third design this season, built around seven subsystems that work together to score as fast as possible.

Silence has seven subsystems: drivetrain, intake, transfer, turret, shooter, camera, and hood. Each feature was designed with efficiency in mind, aligned with our game strategy.

The name is a playful contradiction. Techineers are energetic, collaborative, and full of ideas, and the name reflects our fun team personality.

Into the Deep, 2024-25

Rob-Ot (Into the Deep)

Full robot CAD render of Rob-Ot with its subsystems labeled

Six modular subsystems built for fast autonomous scoring and level 3 ascents.

The robot has six subsystems: drivetrain, claw, linear slide, tilt, arm, and odometry. Splitting it into subsystems made improvements and repairs faster.

Strategy: swift autonomous that cycles samples and specimens, efficient cycling in tele-op, and a level 3 ascent in the endgame.

The name is wordplay on the word robot, created by team member Tanish. The 'ot' is pronounced like 'awt'.

Centerstage, 2023-24

Bob v3 (Centerstage)

Bob v3, the Centerstage robot, from above with its red three-prong claw extended

Our most custom-part-heavy robot so far, including a three-prong claw, refined over three major iterations.

This season's robot integrated more custom parts than any earlier season. It went through three major iterations to reach the final design.

Bob v3 is the third generation of our long-running robot name, after Bob v1 (Freight Frenzy) and Bob v2 (Power Play).

Power Play, 2022-23

Bob v2 (Power Play)

Bob v2, the Power Play robot, with its cascading slide and mecanum wheels and the 19652 plate

Five DC motors, three servos, two distance sensors and a camera, with a claw that rotates 360 degrees.

Bob v2 has a cascading kit to reach the high junctions and a claw that rotates 360 degrees to score quickly.

Two distance sensors, one on each side, sit below a camera. Together they improve accuracy in autonomous.

Freight Frenzy, 2021-22

Bob v1 (Freight Frenzy)

Our first FTC robot: seven DC motors, one servo, two distance sensors and a camera.

This was our first FTC robot and we are very proud of it.
